Last week in collaboration with GHMC, our team conducted awareness programs in the Tuesday and Friday markets of Rajendranagar Circle, Hyderabad. We interacted with vegetable vendors and shoppers, educating them about the harmful impact of single-use plastic bags on our environment. As part of the initiative, we distributed around 100 cloth bags and encouraged people to adopt sustainable alternatives. One plastic bag can take up to 1,000 years to decompose, while a single cloth bag can be reused hundreds or even thousands of times. Every cloth bag used is one less plastic bag polluting our soil, water, and surroundings. Small changes in daily habits can create a big impact when adopted by many.
