Some moments stay with you long after they are over. This was one of them. ❤️ Two young girls are desperately trying to continue their education, but their families are struggling financially. One is from a single-parent family. The other’s father works as a security guard and is battling kidney-related health issues. Their dreams are simple — to study, complete their education and build a better life. But for their families, even education fees have become a heavy burden. When we told them that we would sponsor their education and help them continue their studies, one of the girls could not hold back her tears. She touched our feet and took our blessings. Those tears were not just tears of emotion. They carried relief, gratitude and perhaps the feeling that someone finally believed in her dream. It reminded me that sometimes, we don't need to change the whole world. We just need to make sure that one child's dream doesn't end because her family cannot afford it. Let her study. Let her dream. Sharanya Development Foundation, in partnership with MetLife, has donated a Sanitary Napkin Incinerator to Government High School, Gowlidhoddi, Rajendranagar. This will help many girls in the school manage menstrual waste safely, hygienically and with dignity, while promoting responsible waste disposal and a cleaner, healthier school environment. We are happy to support Government High School, Gowlodhoddi, with resources aimed at strengthening the learning environment, student well-being, sports and hygiene. What makes this initiative particularly meaningful is that the contribution goes beyond infrastructure—it addresses education, health, gender dignity and environmental responsibility. 🌸 Menstrual Hygiene & Dignity A Sanitary Napkin Incinerator has been provided for girl students, enabling safer and more hygienic disposal of menstrual waste while promoting a cleaner school environment. 📚 Quality Education 🌍 Globes, a wooden CC Board and a PA system to support teaching, communication and learning. 🏃 Health & Well-being Skipping ropes and Tennikoit rings to encourage physical activity and active childhood. 🌱 Environmental Responsibility Better management of sanitary waste is a small but important step towards cleaner and more responsible school practices. The impact in numbers 1,200 students reached 1 school supported 6 categories of resources contributed Multiple dimensions of well-being addressed This initiative aligns with the spirit of the UN Sustainable Development Goals — SDG 3, SDG 4, SDG 5, SDG 6 and SDG 12. When we visited this Government School, we saw something that stayed with us. 120 children… and just one teacher. One teacher trying to teach every child, every class, and every subject. Behind those 120 little faces are 120 dreams, 120 hopes, and 120 futures waiting to be shaped. We believe education is one of the most powerful forces that can transform a life. Every child deserves the chance to learn, to be guided, to ask questions, to dream — and to believe that they can build a better future. We knew we couldn't simply walk away. Today, through Sharanya Development Foundation, we are grateful to share that an additional teacher has been appointed to support these children. Books for the Mind. Sports for the Spirit In partnership with MetLife, we were happy to distribute books, stationery and a range of sports equipment at GUPS Gopanpally School, giving children the resources they need to learn, play, stay active and grow with confidence. The sports equipment included cricket kits, badminton rackets and shuttlecocks, basketballs, volleyballs, footballs, skipping ropes and table-tennis equipment, along with PA wall speakers to support school activities and events. Because education builds knowledge, while sports build teamwork, discipline, confidence, resilience and a healthy spirit.
