On May 22nd 2024: We are excited to announce a successful collaboration aimed at empowering underprivileged girls through free computer training. In this initiative, 150 girls participated in a comprehensive training program that covered MS Office, C, and C++ programming languages. Over the course of 45 days, these young girls dedicated themselves to learning and mastering these valuable skills. . We are proud to see them now brimming with confidence and enthusiasm, ready to leverage their new abilities for a brighter future. This achievement wouldn't have been possible without the unwavering support of our training partner and the many individuals who contributed to this cause. On April 13th , 2024 A sanitary pad workshop was conducted as part of the Be-Shakti Livelihood Program through Sharanya Foundation and Adarsh Sanstha. The organization provides women with the opportunity to sell sanitary pads, empowering them to generate their own income. This support enables women to become financially independent and contribute to their communities. We are very thankful for the huge support we have received and we are excited to create more opportunities for women in the future.The sanitary pad workshop is just one of many initiatives under the Be-Shakti Livelihood Program. In our endeavor to promote women's health and hygiene, we are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for women to learn, grow and establish their own businesses. Our mission is to provide accessible opportunities for girls to excel in the digital age and beyond. We are offering free computer training to women. Our 45-day computer training program covers the fundamentals of computer usage, with a focus on essential software applications and programming languages. Participants will gain proficiency in: Microsoft Office Suite: They will learn to navigate and utilize tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint effectively. Introduction to Programming: They will explore the basics of C and C++, laying a strong foundation for future coding endeavors. On March 16th 2024, Sharanya Development Foundation - Be Shakti Livelihood Program - Distribution Of Eco Safe Sanitory Pads to 100 Women at Umarkhed, Maharashtra. As part of our ongoing commitment to women empowerment, we recently launched the Be Shakti Livelihood program, an initiative designed to enhance economic opportunities and improve the quality of life for women in underserved regions. One of the inaugural activities under this program took place in Umarkhed, Maharashtra, where we had the privilege of distributing sanitary pads to 100 women. Partnering with the Adarsh Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha trust in Maharastra, we embarked on this endeavor with a shared vision of empowering women and promoting menstrual health and hygiene. Beyond providing essential products, we also conducted educational sessions to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene and dispel myths and taboos surrounding menstruation. On October 16th 2023: October 16th - World Food Day 2023 - The basic aim of this day is to eradicate the problems of Hunger, Poverty, and Malnutrition. This year, we had the privilege of collaborating with the Department of Nutrition from Sindhu College to celebrate World Food Day in a meaningful and impactful way. The collaboration with the Department of Nutrition allowed us to organize an awareness session about nutrition at Cherish home for underprivileged girls in kismatpur, Hyderabad. Praveena Gaaru, a distinguished nutritionist and lecturer, played a pivotal role in bringing her expertise to this event. She provided invaluable insights on the importance of a nutritious food and how it can positively impact the overall health and well-being of individuals, especially young girls. After the awareness session, they had the pleasure of providing a nutritious meal to 55 girls at Cherish Home. We're delighted to announce that we've provided borewell water access to a slum near Chilkur Balaji Temple, benefiting approximately 40 families who previously lacked access to clean water. The rag pickers in this community were enduring significant hardships due to the absence of water access. Our borewell not only ensures a year-round supply of clean water but also saves them precious time. In the words of one beneficiary, "Before, I had to spend hours collecting water from a 2km distance daily, which greatly impacted my income as a daily wage laborer. Thanks to the Sharanya Foundation, I now enjoy a healthier and more stable life." This donation campaign ran successfully for three months, with support from 22 generous donors.
